Who and what is LAMITAK?

Lamitak, a TAK surfaces lifestyle brand of high pressure laminates helps owners, architects and interior designers fulfil their desire for dream interiors.

What are laminates used for?

Laminates are most commonly used surface finish for furniture elements, as they provide decorative look in comparatively less price. It is a composite artificial material, and are made by pressing together thin layers of flat paper and plastic resins. The upper layer is printed with a decorative pattern or colour.

The Lamitak Experience

Aesthetic aside, this experience served as a handy and purposeful space targeted to aid homeowners and designers to make better design decisions in selecting the laminates.

In the showroom, there was a lighting device that allowed to see tile shaped laminate samples in 3 different lighting. Natural daylight, warm-lighting and retail lighting.

The most impressive part of this experience was the Techroom (at L2) where there was a smart table that renders immediately upon putting a QR Code Backed laminate sample. Watch video to see how!

It's pretty impressive to see how the industry has evolved so far. The entire tech experience was seamless, till the point that it was slightly daunting as the thought of losing a skill of being able to render realistic renders ran through my mind.

"Wah then no need to render next time already..?"

Also, the showroom and tech-room can be booked by designers be it, designers to designers, or designers to client with the support of Lamitak trained specialists for discussion which I thought was brilliant as Lamitak came in as a 'bridge'.

This makes me wonder if big brands that supplies specific materials such as solid top to veneer to glass selections could come in together and form a mega one-stop centre.
